Senior Hardware Engineer

The Lead Silicon Architect role will drive architecture/microarchitecture definition and specification, tradeoffs, modeling, and drive the deliverables needed for design and implementation of our next generation Accelerated Compute Fabric chip.
Senior HW Engineer - Mountain View (on-site/local candidates only)
Design engineer working in a JDM environment to develop hardware platforms supporting Enfabrica’s ASICs working across all phases of the product life cycle.
Responsibilities:
Create high level design specifications for customer systems
Detailed review of schematics, layout, SI, thermal, CPLDs, test plans, and mechanical designs
HW bring up of systems with Enfabrica’s custom ASICs
Debug and resolution of issues that arise internally and at customer sites
Perform characterization of Enfabrica custom ASICs
Verification of standards compliance on electrical interfaces (Ethernet, PCIe, DDR5, I2C, …etc.)
Work closely with ASIC and SW teams on system requirements and support
Staying up to date with relevant technologies, standards, and suppliers
Experience and knowledge:
10-15 years developing high performance systems (servers, switches, etc.)
System design (ASIC, CPU, CPLD, power, thermal, SI, mechanical)
Schematic capture, high speed PCB layout, SI/PI analysis
Working with remote and JDM teams
Use of real time and sampling scopes, BERT, VNA, logic analyzer
PCIe gen5+, 112G+ Ethernet, DDR5, intel/AMD CPU, BMC
Bring up and characterization of large scale custom ASICs
Debug of board and system level issues
PCIe, Ethernet, and DDR5 standards and compliance testing
Scripting and test automation
